Diamond Hibiscus [Day 77]

THE FOREST DRIPPED tears of crystal. Sunlight transformed the residue rain into glittering treasure. Each drop fell from plump leaves down to thick vines and onto lush ferns, fringed smiles welcoming the dawn. Hundreds of hibiscus gleamed — red, pink, yellow — satin petals decked out in diamonds. Only the quiet slinking slither of a long brown snake, belly patterned in bright green stars, greeted the flowers this morning.
