Desiccated Deluge [Day 112]

TEARS FROM HEAVEN skewered the desolate, dusty forest. Shriveled leaves snapped off brittle branches. Muddy water sluiced between cracks in the earth, drawn deeply in the ground as the soil split, parched as Alion’s throat. 

Falling to his knees, he let the warm raindrops drench his hair and splatter his mouth.
