FIRE CRACKLED AROUND her, hissing crimson waves lapping at the shore of her skin.
Surrounding her, the blaze mounted into a glistening, dazzling interfero. Bright as rubies, the flames seemed to glow, as if they were alive. Coursing up her arms, they spiraled intimately around her waist and neck. Heat pulsed against her skin. And still, somehow, the fire would not burn her.
