Star’s Perch [Day 114]

A SOFT WIND swirled into the bell tower, gently ringing the massive bell behind her. Only she could hear it’s vibrations, and she let its echo radiate down to her bones.

From her standing perch, she could survey the whole village. 

Candles glowed in windows and colorful glass lanterns glittered against the darkening twilight. In the distance, the evening star shone from her own perch in the sky, gazing down in equal interest at the little village. Or at least that’s what she liked to think.
