Day 140: Storm Out of Body 

LIGHTNING CRACKLED, A white whip lashing dense, blue-black clouds. Thunder rumbled, shaking the foundation of the old barn. The concrete floor shuddered and the wood planks creaked. Rain beat against them; wind howled wordlessly, a gleeful mad moan.

As the storm grew stronger, her body’s physicality weakened. Every limb felt as light as air. A sensation of lifting, as if she was rising out of her body overcame her. She fought this, imagining her feet bolted to the floor.
