The Barrier

Day 3: Feb 3

Golden and red leaves crinkle in the wind. Ripples chase one another across the river, which winds past an overgrown wall. Ivy, dark as dried blood with the sheen of emeralds, snake all over the gray stones. Underneath, they glimmer faintly, as if little hearts of moonlight beat inside each stone.

There may be more to this, too; at the very least, it serves as an intriguing setting to me.
